As I mentioned last week, I will be spending Christmas and New Year in Australia with a group of students this year. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon from Chubu Airport. We’ll be staying in Sydney, and I’m sure we’ll be doing lots of sight-seeing, but I don’t know yet whether we will have time to visit any other parts of the country. <\/p>\n
I’m looking forward to going to Australia because I’ve never been there before, but I’m a bit worried about the number of dangerous animals, insects, and reptiles. Everyone knows about things like crocodiles, snakes, and spiders, but I found out the other day that even kangaroos might try to kill me! And of course, the dangers multiply enormously the moment you set foot in the ocean. If by some miracle I manage to survive the whole holiday, I will be coming back to Japan on January 4th, so I’ll be away for almost three weeks. <\/p>\n
I suppose it might be a bit strange having a hot Christmas again, but I experienced that in New Zealand and in Singapore, so it won’t be the first time. One thing I’m really looking forward to is the food, because I’m guessing that most of it will be British (no sarcastic comments, please!). <\/p>\n
I’m not planning on introducing new topics while I am away, and I don’t think I will be able to do feedback, but I will post comments on this entry to let you know what I am up to. If you don’t see any comments for a while, you can just assume that the crocodiles got me!<\/p>\n
